July 20 Newsletter – Pastor Greg Cruce

In 2009, when two churches merged together to form Rock Bridge Baptist Church, one of our main purposes was to reach children in our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. On Sunday mornings, we have Sunday School classes for children and on Wednesday evening, we have our AWANA program. Both of these ministries reach children with the Good News in different ways as children come into our facilities.

Now, in just a few more days, we will begin another part of our Children’s Ministry, our Neighborhood Bible Clubs. On Monday evening July 25th we will begin a week long ministry in three different neighborhoods each evening from 6:30-8:00pm. Our main focus will be to introduce children to our Savior – Jesus, the Christ. Our lessons will focus on the “I AM” statements of Christ: I AM the Good Shepherd, I AM the Bread of Life, I AM the Resurrection and the Life, I AM the Light of the World and I AM the Way the Truth and the Life.

We’ll play games, sing songs, teach a memory verse each evening, sing more songs, teach the “I AM” Bible lessons, sing even more songs, give an invitation for the children to talk with one of the leaders about Christ, play more games, have refreshments and give out prizes. It is going to be a fun filled, fast paced, Holy Spirit led hour and a half each evening. And we need you to be involved. Here are a few ways you can help.

FIRST: You can begin praying now in the following ways:
1) Pray that many children will come, participate, hear the Gospel, understand Who Christ is and what He has done for them, and then respond with saving faith in Christ Jesus.
2) Pray that parents will bring their children and that we will have an opportunity to greet the parents and get to know them.
3) Pray that the weather will be just right (not too hot and not too wet) so that the children can hear and learn.
4) Pray for a “Hedge of Protection” around all the children and leaders. The enemy will attack and we need the Lord’s protection at all times.
5) Pray that our Lord will be lifted up, glorified and honored in all that we say and do.

SECOND: You can invite and/or bring children you know to one of our Neighborhood Bible Clubs. We’ll be meeting in 3 neighborhoods close to the church, at the homes of Gloria Watson, Sue Sills and Glenda Price.

THIRD: You can come and participate, even if you didn’t volunteer for a leadership position. You can greet and meet parents, you can listen to children recite memory verses, you can help serve refreshments or help out when help is needed and you can watch to make sure that all of the children are safe.

Where will you be next week and what will you be doing? I’ll be involved in a Neighborhood Bible Club each evening. I hope that you’ll join with us as we minister to the children in our community.

Hope to see you on Sunday.

May God Bless,
Pastor Greg

July 6 Newsletter – Pastor Bill Cordrey

How often do you think about God during the day? Sometimes I get to the end of the day and I realize I’ve hardly thought about God. I get so tied up in “the now and in the urgent” that I forget the important. Jesus said we worry about many things, but only one thing is important. God is what matters. He’s the One that controls my boss. He’s the One that controls my work-flow. He’s the One that manages my team. Proverbs 19:21 says, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.” God alone gives me the ability to think and plan and do. Wouldn’t it be wise to stay in touch with Him throughout the day? God’s word reminds us again and again to keep Him first in our thoughts. Paul says to do it “continually” – Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. I Thessalonians 5:16-18

So if it is God’s will for us to keep Him in the forefront of our mind throughout the day, how do we do that? I certainly don’t have all the answers or I wouldn’t be writing this article. But I am trying to draw closer to Jesus on a moment-by-moment basis, to share in His fellowship and to try to carry out the Lord’s prayer – to make “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done.” Here are a couple of things I’m trying to give me a right focus.

1) Praise Him First: When I wake up, before my feet hit the floor, I begin to pray. I ask God for His wisdom and guidance. I begin the day with praise and thanks that God knows me and is always with me. Psalm 139:17-18 “How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, you are still there.”

2) Morning Bible Reading: I find it amazing that when I begin my day reading from His Word, I find application for the day’s passage in my life. It’s like God’s Word is living and active. Hmmm – maybe I read that somewhere before? Putting God’s thoughts in my head in the morning helps me meditate on it throughout the day. Psalm 63:1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where there is no water.

3) Daylight Fast: Nothing gets my attention quite like my stomach. When it rumbles just a little, I run to satisfy it. So I have tried to use that to remind me of God’s presence. I simply don’t eat during the day once in a while. Skipping one or two meals one day a week helps get control of my desires (discipline) and reminds me throughout the day the He is near. It reminds me to thank Him for living in a land of abundance where hunger is a choice and not a daily inevitability. It reminds me how very good He is. Psalm 34:8 “O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”

4) Broader Vision: Sometimes my vision gets so narrow. I focus only on my work or my needs or my church. I need to be reminded that God’s plan is bigger. God’s plan encompasses the world. How do we keep from getting so focused on “me and mine”? I try with some newsletters. One I get from “Operation World” is a prayer focus on a different nation each day. As I write this, I’m looking at today’s – the focus is on Sumatra, Indonesia. It says, “The earthquake and tsunami in 2004 killed over 200,000 and rendered 500,000 people homeless. Further tragedies are inevitable. Sumatra is the largest unevangelized island on earth.” The newsletter has challenges for prayer for that nation. It helps remind me that God has a big agenda and a global kingdom. And I can be a part by adding my prayers. My problems and my issues are small – and I serve a great God.

5) Evening Prayer: Toward the end of the day I try to call upon the Lord. This is harder for me – when the pillow calls, I am instantly asleep. Piper is better at remembering and reminding me, “Don’t we need to pray…” (She’s such a good wife.) Evening prayer is a good time to rehearse the day with the Lord, to go back through it all…to remember the times I didn’t do so well, and ask for forgiveness….to ask for wisdom and strength not to make that same error again tomorrow. It’s a time to talk to God about the ones I love and the needs they have….. And to ask for His perfect peace.

May you walk with the Lord and in His fellowship,
Pastor Bill

Pastor Bill and I are preaching through 5 of the “I Am” statements of Christ. These statements go along with our Neighborhood Bible Clubs “Knowing Christ” theme. As I was studying this week I came across this from “Awareness of God / Descriptions of Christ”. I like how they present the information so I thought I’d just pass it along to you.

I Am the Bread of Life
Definition: The Bread of Life is the spiritual food needed by man. Without the bread of life man cannot live spiritually. Just as physically man needs to eat in order to live, the bread of life gives nourishment for the soul. Unless one eats from the bread of life he faces eternal death.

Meaning: In the Old Testament God provided the Israelites with manna from heaven. They were told only to take what was required for a one day supply and they had to trust that God would send more the next day. The manna served as salvation for the Israelites physical needs on a daily basis. God, however knew of a greater need for the salvation of man’s soul and he also had a plan to meet that need — His Son, the Bread of Life. The Israelites needed to eat daily, but once one has tasted the bread of life he does not need to ask for it again, because his soul has been saved.

Scripture Support: John 6:35 & 48-58

Conclusion: Jesus Christ is the Bread of Life. It is He whom I need to eat in order that I might have eternal life. He is the manna for my soul that God promised. Though I don’t need to wait each day to take part of the bread of life, I do need to be sure that my life is lived like Jesus. He was the example of how I am to live and part of what it means for me to eat the bread of life is to live my life the way Jesus, the Bread of Life, lived his.

Application: Since Jesus is the Bread of Life, I will treat Him with as great importance as actual food. I will partake of Him each day by praying, reading His word and listening for the Holy Spirit, knowing that as I focus on Him, He is nourishing me spiritually. Also, as I eat, I will remember that physical food is a symbol of how we are to relate to Jesus spiritually, and I will thank Him for providing me with both physical food for my body and spiritual food for my soul.

I hope that you will be able to join us each Sunday for our “I Am” series of sermons. I also ask that you begin to pray now for the children who will attend our Neighborhood Bible Clubs. We will be introducing them to our Savior using His “I Am” statements.

Hope to see you all on Sunday for Bible study and worship.
May God Bless,
Pastor Greg

July 4th we will celebrate America’s independence. Flags will wave. Many churches, including ours, will have patriotic songs. We’ll loudly proclaim, “God bless America”. As a citizen, I love America–I love living in peace and prosperity. As a citizen, I love living in freedom and luxury.

But as a Christian, I wonder what does God think of our nation? I think the Bible gives us some clues. Israel was once “One nation under God.” They kept saying, “God bless Israel.” But in my mind, I hear King Jeroboam declaring religious tolerance as he set up alternative worship centers. I imagine listening to King Ahab make a long speech proclaiming proudly, “We are no longer a nation just of Jehovah, but a nation of Baal and Ashtoroth, a nation of Molech and Chemos.” Yet Israel continued to wave flags and sing songs of, “God bless Israel.”

Can you imagine Jehovah God standing back and saying, “I’m so proud of my people for overcoming their biases and narrow mindedness”? Did God continue to bless that nation?

For some time, there has been an e-mail floating around the internet usually called, “Prayer for our Nation”. Presented by Rev. Joe Wright (mistakenly attributed to Billy Graham or Paul Harvey) to the Kansas House of Representatives, it goes like this:

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, ‘Woe to those who call evil good,’ but that is exactly what we have done.
• We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.
• We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.
• We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
• We have killed our unborn and called it choice.
• We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
• We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self -esteem.
• We have abused power and called it politics.
• We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it ambition.
• We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of
• expression.
• We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

You may not agree with all of that, but here’s my point – As we celebrate Independence Day, I hope we will pray and remember that God blesses the nation whose God is the Lord (Psalm 33:12). Not the nation that invokes God’s name. Not the nation that has a godly heritage. Blessed is the nation whose God IS the Lord. J. Vernon McGee preached a sermon once titled, “America needs a declaration of dependence,” saying we need to return to dependence on God, not our wealth or freedom or military power (see Zech. 4:6 and Psalm 20:7).

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Have a blessed Independence Day – and don’t forget to pray.

What a great weekend this past weekend was! If you missed any of it, you really missed wonderful times of worshiping and serving our Lord and Savior Jesus, the Christ.

On Saturday, we had a great choir rehearsal in preparation for the July 3rd morning worship choir specials. That was followed by a Neighborhood Bible Club planning and training session. It was very well-attended and I believe that the Lord has even more who will be willing to work and serve as we reach into our neighborhoods to tell boys and girls about our Savior. If you don’t know what to do or you’re not sure of how to be involved, please see me on Sunday or call me and let’s talk about it.

On Sunday, our Bible Study at 9:45 was a great study. In our class, we looked in the book of Genesis to study about Jacob and Esau, their birthright and the blessing of God’s covenant. We saw the danger and the ramifications of what happens when people who are called by God choose to go outside of His plan for their life and all of the negative and bad results that occur from such decisions. In the end, we all realized that God’s way is always the best way and we should always trust and follow His leadership in every aspect of our lives.

During our worship service, Jay and Jenny Wilburn brought us an exciting message about “Ground Zero” in Myrtle Beach S.C. I got excited as I read their materials, watched their videos and listened to all they had to say to us. We certainly want to be an encouragement to them in this wonderful ministry the Lord has created. Let’s also pray that the Lord will give us a great vision for reaching the lost youth in our area and that He will be our provider in all that we do.

Pastor Bill then brought us a great message followed by the Lord’s Supper. What a great time to remember all that the Lord has done for us through His great sacrifice. Following the morning service, several of us went to the home of Jim and Patsy Morris so we could share the Lord’s Supper with them. What a great way of serving one another and serving the Lord at the same time. Thank you to Darrell and Reida, Josh and Alaina, and Amy and Noah for going and participating. I think that all who participated were blessed by our God.

Then in the evening, we had another great choir rehearsal while our youth group and youth leaders were busy packing lunches to help children in need. What an amazing weekend it was! I’m hoping that this weekend will be just as special. In addition to celebrating with you in service and worship on Sunday, Amy and I are celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary on July3rd. Then we get to celebrate the 4th of July on Monday, so it should be another great weekend of celebrating the Lord, our church family and our 25 years of marriage.

I hope your weekends are just as wonderful as mine. See you on Sunday morning for Bible study and worship.

May God Bless,
Pastor Greg

Do you wonder whether you should get involved in our summer mission project – feeding the children at Legacy Commons Apartments? Do you wonder if you will see God at work in this or if you will be blessed?

This email was received this week from Glenda:

I’m not computer savvy…..just excited! Right now! Amen!! Thank you to those who came out Monday. I asked God where and how and who and what ministry He wanted me to be involved in……He answered! And He’s answered every prayer I’ve given up to Him. I am blessed with a 2-day work week now….may expand to 3 days, but God has it where I will be ok with the 2 day……which leaves (Yes!) the other days to prepare for ministry…..with the church and with Keith and LITTLE ONES….FEED THEM A SACK LUNCH! But it’s more than that, I can tell you. When I told these kids that God spoke their language, and that He personally cared for them, one little boy said, “Wow, He does!”

I am beginning to share with them, starting with Genesis, because I have no idea where they are as far as God goes. I give them a little preview of the following Monday and they seem excited. I am able to translate to the parents what I am saying. So I am bringing Sunday School to them. This is so awesome….beyond my wildest dreams!

I have never lived in this part of Georgia and I have asked God since I came back in November, “What now?” Before I left Mexico, when I was getting ready to go share at a camp, I heard God’s voice. It brought chills to my spine. God said, “ I am preparing you for something – something big. When you go home to Georgia, listen closely….you will see.” I answered, “See what, Lord?” “You are to speak, He said.” “Who, me?” I asked. “Yes, He told me. You are getting prepared for the states…..you will meet a pastor and a church who are going to need you. You will find out.” “What? I answered. I don’t even know a church in Georgia besides the one I attended in Griffin.”

I had no idea where I would go to church, where I would live, where I would work or anything else. Well,
it has been an awesome whirlwind since I came back this past November. I want to thank everyone who has prayed for me…my pastors and friends…and most of all I thank God. He can do anything and everything. In six and one half months, all this has happened. This past Monday was like International City in that one room with those children. These children will take back what they learn to their parents. Some of these people are persecuted in their countries for mentioning God and Jesus. And now they have freedom. Anyone wanting to join me any Monday, come on out. You will find me in my second home. Remember what He says – “Who is going to be my hands, feet, and mouth….feed my sheep? They are right here amongst us. Go Ye.” Who? Us. Spread the gospel amongst all nations! I will update all of your later. My head is swirling with ideas.

You know, God has a funny sense of humor; He really does. Ever been woke up at 3:00am – by God – and you are thinking – What? He says, “Yep, this is what I would like for you to do….it’s nice and quiet; we’re gonna talk….then you will fall asleep.”

Blessings and thanks for all your prayers and help. I know lots of you have to work, but please pray for open hearts for these children when I talk with them. Also pray for their parents and pray for the program of feeding them, both physically and spiritually, to continue. Ever heard of entertaining angels unaware……24/7?

This week Rock Bridge began a new chapter. God orchestrates things like a row of dominoes that fall into place. Piper and our Mission Ministry Team invited Tim Cummins to speak as a part of our North American Missions month. In talking with Tim, he pointed to a local ministry need for Rock Bridge to work with Keith and Cornelia Harrell at Legacy Commons apartments (Formerly known as Villa Nueva, formally known as Westwood apartments). Beth spoke with Keith and he lamented that many of the children there participated in the free lunch program when they were in school, but many did not receive lunch when they were out for the summer.

That sparked something in Beth – something that Billy Hybels wrote about in a book called, “Holy Discontent”. The description of that book says:

“What is the one aspect of this broken world that, when you see it, touch it, get near it, you just can’t stand? Very likely, that firestorm of frustration reflects your holy discontent, a reality so troubling that you are thrust off the couch and into the game. It’s during these defining times, when your eyes open to the needs surrounding you and your heart hungers to respond, that you hear God say, ‘I feel the same way about this problem. Now, let’s go solve it together!’

Bill Hybels invites you to consider the dramatic impact your life will have when you allow your holy discontent to fuel instead of frustrate you. Hybels shows how you can find and feed your personal area of holy discontent, fight for it when things get risky, and follow it when it takes a mid-course turn. As you live from the energy of your holy discontent, you’ll fulfill your role in setting what is wrong in this world right!”

When I read that book a couple years ago, I thought it was great. When I heard Beth Gomes talking about hungry children in our neighborhood, I saw it happen in her life. It was beautiful to see! The same look was in Gloria’s eyes when she collected over 100 coats to keep children warm. It’s the same look Piper gets when she talks about the needs in Honduras. The same look Ann gets when she talks about counseling hurting people.

When we let God break our hearts with the things that break His heart, we simply MUST take action. I’m proud of Beth for helping lead in taking action. I really encourage you all to get involved in this project. But I also encourage you to take action on your own project – what burns in your heart? What brings tears to your eyes? When God has tears in His eyes over a situation, He calls some of His children to join him in making the change. He does it by breaking our hearts. Perhaps He is calling you too.

Will you let God break your heart? And will you let that brokenness “thrust you off the couch and into the game”? If God be for us, who can be against us? Please look for ways to be Christ’s hands and feet today. Piper is doing it with a trip, Ann does it with a word, Gloria did it with a coat. Beth is doing it with peanut butter. What will you use? You can make a difference.

When I started seeing the plans Beth was making to feed hungry children, I wrote her the e-mail below. I wanted to share it with you and ask you to join me in participating and praying.

May God pour out His grace on this adventure! and may it splash out all over you for the effort and organization you’ve put into this. Jesus said in the final judgment we would stand before Him and He would tell us the distressing news that He was hungry and we didn’t feed Him. Mother Teresa was asked how she could continue to look into the faces of the devastated, the poor, and the dying – She said in each person she saw, “the face of Jesus in one of His most distressing disguises”. I pray all of our church would look at these children and see Jesus in a distressing disguise. That we would find the heart to reach out beyond our walls. Beth, we simply must pray that this outreach is a time when we see Jesus, when our church will see Jesus, when these kids will see Jesus.

Father’s Day is this coming Sunday, June 19, 2011. It’s a special day for dads and their families. Many will celebrate with cookouts, family gatherings or going out to a restaurant to fellowship with their father. Others will share fond memories of their dad and what it was like when they were a child growing up in his household.

As we prepare for Father’s Day I’m reminded of several things:

First – I’m reminded of my dad and the way he raised me. He would rock me to sleep every night during my first few years; he coached me in little league baseball; he helped me in RA’s; he took our entire family to church every time the doors were opened; he encouraged me as I developed my love of the guitar; he challenged me to always do my best at college and work; and he even supported me during my rock ‘n roll music and long hair days. He was always there, and I knew it.

Second – I’m reminded of my role as a father. To always love my children unconditionally; to teach them everything I know (even if they don’t want to hear it); to encourage them in their endeavors; to motivate them to always do their best; to be active in their lives; to be there for them (no matter what time day or night) and to model Christ to them.

And then thirdly – I’m reminded of my Heavenly Father and all that He has done for me, all that He is doing in me and all that He has promised to do with me. He has given me so much: His gracious salvation through faith in Jesus Christ; His Holy Spirit to lead me, guide me and speak to me; gifts and talents to use for His glory; a family that I dearly love; a growing ministry at Rock Bridge Baptist Church; a good job; many wonderful friends; and the promise of eternal life that will be lived in His presence without any sin or suffering.

I have a lot to be grateful for on Father’s Day. I hope you do too.

Come and join with us for our Father’s Day breakfast and then stay for our Sunday morning bible studies and worship service.

May God Bless,
Pastor Greg

I love my church. I love the people. I love being in community with you. I especially love when we are the hands and feet of Christ.

Sunday, when I opened the bulletin and saw that Rock Bridge had met its North American Mission Offering goal of $2,500, I was so very excited and so very proud. It might have been easy for people to not give because the economy was bad or because of uncertainty in the job market. It might have been easy to not give to something that does not directly benefit our church. But none of that happened. Rock Bridge, you gave.

Thank you. Thank you for giving to something bigger than our church. Nationwide, last year offerings from churches like ours helped start over 1,300 new churches and helped fund over 5,000 missionaries preaching the Word. That is so great.

Thank you, too, to the Missions Ministry team for leading our church in giving to Kingdom work in North America. Thanks for the great mission videos about the impact that mission giving has. Thanks for arranging the missions speakers. To hear Tim Cummins speak about reaching people moves it from being something other people are doing to something we can do! Every time I hear him speak about taking the church to the people, I have to evaluate whether I am doing all I could for the Kingdom. Mr. Bennett…. I so much admire that man and the power of his ministry in Clarkston. May God raise up 100 more like him.

Last Sunday I preached on “Now what.” And I want to apply it to our mission giving. We banded together and gave $2,500. Now let’s give something more. Not a check, but let’s give ourselves to the work. We have opportunities in which you can get involved. First, we have an opportunity to partner with Keith and Cornelia Harrell during June and July to help needy kids right in our neighborhood. You’ll be hearing more about this, but be ready to join in the work.

In July, we will have Backyard Bible Celebrations (VBS) with Keith at the apartment complex and in 3 neighborhoods around our church. This is such a great opportunity to tell people about Jesus and to directly touch people who might never come to our church. This is a chance to do Kingdom work – to be God’s hands and feet. You can make a difference! Don’t let Satan rob you of participating in expanding His kingdom by lying to you that there’s nothing you can do or that you are not needed. Show up. Hug a kid. Shake hands with a parent. Smile. You can do this. Without Jesus, these kids and families are lost – forever lost. We can change their destiny. Jesus is calling – the harvest is ready.

So Rock Bridge, congratulations and well done. Thank you for your generosity. Let us continue to build on that by giving not just our money, but ourselves. As Paul said of the churches in Greece – For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints. And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God’s will. Corinthians 8:3-5 (NIV)

God loves you and I’m praying for ya –

Our sermon for this Sunday is “Searching for Hidden Treasure”. We will be looking at Proverbs 2 and the great wealth of wisdom, knowledge and understanding that we can receive from God’s Word if we will search for it like we are searching for hidden treasure. As I was studying and preparing for our Sunday morning sermon, I came across this wonderful writing from 1660. Thomas Brooks was a Puritan preacher during the mid 1600’s and he wrote many great books that are still in demand today. Read and enjoy what he says about God’s Word.

This Incomparable Book!(Thomas Brooks, “Apples of Gold” 1660)

The whole of Scripture is but one entire love letter, dispatched from the Lord Christ, to His beloved spouse!

Oh! the mysteries, the excellencies, the glories which are in this incomparable book! There are none so useful, none so needful, none so delightful, none so necessary to make you happy and to keep you happy–as this!

Ah! the Word of the Lord is . . .
a light to guide you,
a counselor to counsel you,
a comforter to comfort you,
a staff to support you,
a sword to defend you,
a physician to cure you!

The Word is . . .
a mine to enrich you,
a robe to clothe you,
a crown to crown you.
bread to strengthen you,
wine to cheer you,
a honeycomb to feast you,
music to delight you,
a paradise to entertain you!

Oh! therefore, before all and above all:
search the Scripture,
study the Scripture,
meditate on the Scripture,
delight in the Scripture,
treasure up the Scripture!

There is . . .
no wisdom like Scripture wisdom,
no knowledge like Scripture knowledge,
no experience like Scripture experience,
no comforts like Scripture comforts,
no delights like Scripture delights,
no convictions like Scripture convictions,
no conversion like Scripture conversion!

I exhort you to a speedy, serious, diligent,
and constant study of the Scripture.
Ah! you do not know how soon . . .
your blind minds may be enlightened,
your hard hearts may be softened,
your proud spirits may be humbled,
your sinful natures may be changed,
your defiled consciences may be purged,
your distempered affections may be regulated,
and your poor souls may be saved . . .
by searching into the Scriptures,
by reading the Scripture, and
by pondering upon the Scripture.

Ah! if you do not in good earnest,
give yourself up . . .
to the reading,
to the studying,
to the pondering,
to the believing,
to the practicing,
to the applying, and
to the living up to the Scripture–
Satan will be too hard for you,
the world will be too hard for you,
your lusts will be too hard for you,
temptations will be too hard for you,
deceivers will be too hard for you,
and in the end you will be miserable!

Spend time reading, studying and searching God’s Word (The Incomparable Book) this week. I have and I hope you will too. See you on Sunday for bible study and worship.

May God Bless – Pastor Greg
